Blended Hearts

December 24, 2018

Hey! Hey! Hey! Are you ready for another card? I know I am (but that’s always). The card featured in this post was created using the Flower Vine stamp set from Altenew. Let’s get started.

This blog contains paid advertising banners and affiliate links. Banners and affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you. This means I get paid a small commission when you shop with a company using a link I provide. I am not paid by any company to use their products (all products used in my posts have been purchased – by me) and should this ever happen, I will disclose that in a specific post.

The focal point of this card is the set of hearts displayed across the middle of the card. I started out by blending Vineyard Berry and Morning Sunshine inks from Altenew on a scrap piece of card-stock.

Once I had the colors blended, I used Hearts in a Row Vertical Die from My Favorite Things and my Cuttlebug to cut out these gorgeous hearts.

I’ll hold on to and use the negative space on a future card.

Next, I used my Tim Holtz Tonic Craft Stamp Platform and Altenew Permanent Black Ink to stamp these beautiful vines. The images are stamped on a 4 in x 5 1/4 in piece of card-stock cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb.

I stamped the “Love You” sentiment (Altenew Dearest Friend Stamp Set) and used a sentiment strip die to cut it out. Adhesive foam tape were added to the backs of the sentiment strip and card front and they were mounted on to a top folding card base.

The final touch was add adhesive foam tape to the backs of each heart and mount them just above the sentiment strip.

I think these hearts add the perfect pop of color to this card.

Thanks for stopping by.
