Hello and HAPPY TUESDAY!!
I am so glad to be back after a bit of a hiatus. With that being said I think I will jump right into describing the steps that I took to create the card feature in this post. It is fun, whimsical and full of color. I hope you like it!

The first step in creating this card was deciding on a color scheme. I knew that I wanted something bright and festive. With that thought in mind I chose purple (gina k. DESIGNS Wild Lilac) and yellow (gina k. DESIGNS Wild Dandelion) as my base colors.
I started with 8.5 in x 11 in sheets of Wild Lilac and Wild Dandelion Cardstock (trimmed to 4 1/4 in x 11 in). One piece of the Wild Lilac and Wild Dandelion were scored at 5 1/2 Inches, with the Wild Lilac being folded on the score line to create a 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 top folding card base. The Wild Dandelion was cut on the score line (leaving two 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 in sheets).
Next, I used Altenew Andromeda, Wisteria, Citrus Burst Inks and an ink blending tool to add color to Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock.
After the color was applied I used my Gemini Jr. and an Altenew Dodec Cover Die to cut out what would become the top of my card front.
I took two of the cover die cutouts and used a small paintbrush to apply a generous coat of Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray (Sparkle). After allowing each piece to dry, I adhered them to the Wild Dandelion cardstock using gina k. connect glue (super strong adhesive). One panel was then glued to the scored and folded base.
After trimming about 1/2 in off of each side, foam tape was added to the back of the cardstock. The panel was placed on top of the darker purple card base, being careful to line up the design so that it appeared continuous.
The last step was to stamp a sentiment from the Pinkfresh Studio Let’s Celebrate Stamp (discontinued) set onto Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock. Sentiment Strip Dies were used to cutout each phrase. Foam tape was added to the backs and they were adhered to the top of the card.
The pictures really don’t do this card justice. The SPARKLE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!! This card is perfect for any celebration!
That’s it for this project. Thank you for stopping by. Stay tuned for another project…coming real soon.
Until then, don’t forget to spread kindness! -Ouma
This looks really nice!! They both have such different looks.
