Hello there. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope your day is off to a great start.
It’s that time of year again where everything is all about MOM! The stores are filled with candy, flowers and gifts to show our mom’s how much we love and appreciate them. With that thought in mind, I created this card. Very simple but bright and spring like. The colors were actually inspired by my own mother (one of her favorite colors is purple).

I used a handful of products to create this card. 1). The Bouquet of Roses Stencil and Sentiment Strip sheet from Simon Says Stamps 2). Altenew Frayed Leaf, Fresh Lemon, Midnight Violet, Deep Iris and Lavender Fields Inks 3). Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes and 4). Arteza Colored Pencils.
I started out by securing the stencil and Cardstock to each other and then securing to my work surface. I used the life changing blender brushes to apply the inks first to the leaves and second to the roses. After giving it the once over, I decided that I wanted to add a little something to the leaves so I added lines (using the Arteza Colored Pencils) to simulate the veining that would be found in real leaves.
After adding details to the leaves, shimmer was added to each Rose. A sheet of Simon Says Stamp Greenleaf Cardstock to be slightly smaller than the 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 top folding note card that was used for the base. Foam tape was applied to the back of the stenciled panel. The panel was then placed on top of the top folding note card.
The chosen sentiment was cut from the sheet using a sentiment strip die (perfect for this application), foam tape was added to the back and placed on top of the card. The final step was applying white flat-back pearls to the center of each flower using strong liquid adhesive.
Here it is. The final product. I love how this card turned out. This card would bring a smile to any mom’s face.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending some time with me. I hope that you have seen or read something here that inspired or encouraged you.
Have a great day and don’t forget to spread kindness! – Ouma
