Card Quickie – Forever In Love

August 7, 2019

Hello Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. Today I am back with another Card Quickie. I’m sharing fast and easy steps to create a card with a lovely Floral Background featuring the Forever In Love stamp set from Altenew.

This blog contains paid advertising banners and affiliate links (Shopping/Affiliate Disclosure).  Banners and affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you.  This means that I may get paid a small commission when you shop with a company using a link I provide.

I am not paid by any company to use their products (all products used in my posts have been purchased – by me) and should this ever happen, I will disclose that in a specific post.

The Forever In Love set has two large floral images. I used the smaller of the two for the focal point of my card.

I started by stamping the floral image onto a 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 in piece of card stock using Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. After the image was stamped (and prepped with an anti static powder bag) I covered the panel with Altenew Crystal Clear embossing powder. I removed the excess powder and then set the powder with a heat tool.

Next I added color to the leaves using Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen from the Green Fields Artist Marker set. Color was added to the flowers using Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red from the Red Cosmos Artist Marker set.

After adding color I cut the floral background and a piece of black cardstock used the #6 die from the Spellbinders card creator set. Green cardstock was cut using the #7 die.

I chose sentiments from Altenew’s Sentiment Strips stamp set (Hello for the outside and You Are Amazing for the inside). Both sentiments were stamped using Obsidian Black Ink.

The last step was to assemble the card. I attached the green panel to the top folding card base using Altenew Adhesive. The floral panel was adhered to the black panel using the same adhesive. Foam tape was then added to the back and then the entire piece was placed on top of the top of the main panel. The final touch was adding clear droplets (with liquid adhesive) around the floral image.

That brings us to the end! This card is perfect for many occasions and was so easy to create.

Thank you again for stopping by. I hope that you have seen something here that inspires you to create your own work of art.

As always, don’t forget to spread kindness! – Ouma
