Thinking Of You featuring Concord and 9th’s Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set

August 27, 2019

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I’m back with another card this time featuring a beautiful stamp and die set from Concord & 9th.

I am not paid by any company to use their products (all products used in my posts have been purchased – by me) and should this ever happen, I will disclose that in a specific post.

The beautiful Uplifting Thoughts Bundle is part of Concord & 9th’s August product release. The bundle includes a large flower and large leaf stamp plus a few beautiful sentiments. One of the great things about the die that is included is that it does partial die cutting of not just the flowers but also of the leaves. HOW COOL IS THAT?

The card design started by placing a piece of white card stock onto a stamp platform.

I added color to the flowers using Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze and Firebrick ink cubes from Altenew’s Warm and Cozy Mini Cube Set. My initial plan was to add color creating a “solid image” but as I began to stamp I decided on a more mottled look so that in the end it would almost look like patterned paper.

Next I used one of the small leaf images from the set to stamp flowers around the flowers using Altenew Frayed Leaf Ink.

After all of the leaf images were stamped I went over each leaf using Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades Artist Markers (to create a more realistic looking leaf).

Once all fo the color was added I trimmed the floral panel down using an A2 Card Creator Die.

I decided to add some color to the card base (top folding A2 measuring 4.25 in x 5.5 in) using the same colors used to ink the large flower image. I added a large piece of purple tape to protect the back of the card base.

Double sided foam tape was then added to the back of the floral panel and it was placed on top of the card base.

The Thinking of You Sentiment (from the stamp set) was stamped using Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. The strip was trimmed using one of the dies from the A2 Card Creator Die set.

The final step was adding sequins.

There you have it. Another quick idea for a card to let someone special know that they are on your mind.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you have seen something here that inspires you to create your own little work of art. Until next time, don’t forget to spread kindness! – Ouma
