Merry Christmas featuring Concord & 9th’s Christmas Florals Bundle

October 11, 2019

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! Ouma here. It’s been a few weeks since my last post. I had to take a little break and reset. I celebrated my birthday at the end of September. The big 45!!! I celebrated by taking myself on vacation. Something I have never done (vacationed alone). I visited the Florida Keys and it was absolutely amazing. Such beautiful scenery. Never underestimate the power of spending time alone and doing things for yourself.

Anywho, I am back and feeling a bit refreshed so today I am bringing you the first of quite a few Christmas related posts. Today’s post features the Christmas Floral Bundle from Concord & 9th. If you are interested in making a lot of cards THIS IS THE SET FOR YOU! This post covers the first 16 cards that I created using what I consider to be minimal supplies.

Here’s how I did it (full product list at the bottom of the page).

The first set of cards features the large floral stamped image from the set. I stamped the image 4 times onto heavy cardstock.

Color was added to the flowers and leaves using Altenew Artist Markers. I used the letter die and “merry” word dies included in the set to cut out pieces from mirror card stock. The pieces were adhered to the base using strong adhesive. Sparkle was added the center of the floral images and to the berries.

After waiting a couple of minutes for the adhesive to dry, I cut down the base using a rectangle die. Foam tape was added to the back and the panel was placed on the from of a top folding A2 sized note card.

For the second set of cards I started out by using the Woven Stripes Background stamp to create multiple patterns on various colors of card stock.

With this set I decided to use the large die included in the set to cut around the floral image. Color and mirror card stock pieces were added using the same methods mentioned above. The floral cut outs were placed on top of the stamped backgrounds. Those were then added to top folding A2 sized note cards.

This variation uses embossing powder instead of artist markers.

Embossing powder was also used in this variation, however the floral image was stamped directly onto colored card stock.

Each card features the “May Your Christmas Be Bright” sentiment (included in the bundle).

There you have it. Easy ways to create several cards using one AWESOME stamp and die bundle.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you have seen something here that inspires you to create your own little work of art. Until next time, don’t forget to spread kindness! – Ouma
