Hello There! Ouma here and I am back with another round of Christmas Cards! These cards feature the Spellbinders November 2020 Glimmer Kit of the month. I had loads of fun working on these.
This blog contains paid advertising banners and affiliate links (Shopping/Affiliate Disclosure). Banners and affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you. This means that I may get paid a small commission when you shop with a company using a link I provide.
I am not paid by any company to use their products (all products used in my posts have been purchased – by me) and should this ever happen, I will disclose that in a specific post.
If you haven’t checked out Spellbinders Club Kits I recommend hopping over to their site and taking a peak. They have a wide variety of quality products, you can subscribe to one or try a bundle to save a few dollars (which makes me very happy). Working with the Glimmer Kit is super easy. The only limit when using them is your imagination. The possibilities really are endless. For this post, I created four (4) cards with the November kit.
I have three short videos for you today. You’ll have to forgive my camera placement (I’m a bit rusty). The videos show my process start to finish (sped up) using the Gold Card as an example. Most of the supplies I used are linked below. Some I’ve had for a while or picked up on sale last year at Hobby Lobby.
This card features gold washi tape that I picked up from Hobby Lobby last year. The usually have great sales this time of year so I picked up two (2) of everything.
I didn’t use any glue to adhere the washi but I am confident that its secure and won’t peel off since I ran the panel through my die cutting machine afterwards.
I love the way the washi compliments the foiled element.
This card was created similarly to the gold card above. The big difference here is that I used ribbon instead of washi. I staggered each piece of ribbon and used liquid adhesive to adhere to the base.
Pictures just don’t do the glimmer element justice. It is absolutely gorgeous in person.
This card like the first was created using washi tape. I also added snowflake glitter brads (from Hobby Lobby) and three strands of silver glitter twine.
For my final card I went for a more simple look. I used brads on the top and also placed a thin piece of gold washi behind the sentiment. The final touch was adding red half back pearls.
There you have it! Four (4) Christmas cards using the Spellbinders November 2020 Glimmer Kit. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you have seen something here that inspires you to create your own little work of art. Until next time, don’t forget to spread kindness! – Ouma
